If you have been struggling with financing your business, seeking funding to expand your business or know someone looking to do both, then you do not want to miss “The CSRA Business League State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) 2.0 Virtual Seminar”, scheduled for Tuesday, 23 April 2024 via ZOOM Webinar beginning at 6:00 PM.

The CSRA Business League State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) 2.0 Virtual Seminar will focus on How to Apply for and What is needed to obtain a loan through the Small Business Credit Initiative, an initiative that works with local banks to loan funds to Small Businesses.

The Seminar will be facilitated by Ms. Holly Hunt, the SSBCI and GARJA Program Manager and Mr. Timothy D. Smith, Director of Credit Services for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs Department based in Atlanta.
The State Small Business Credit Initiative first created in 2010 by the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, was a program designed to strengthen State lending programs that support small businesses and manufacturers. The program was reauthorized when the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) was passed and signed into law. Under the American Rescue Plan, $10 billion dollars was allocated to fund what is now the State Small Business Credit Initiative 2.0 (SSBCI 2.0).

Under the Act the State of Georgia has been allocated potential funding in the amount of $199,616,860. Funds you can access and this session will inform you on how to access them.

The allocated funds may be utilized to address the following:

1.        Outreach to support business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
2.        Outreach to every small business (less than 10 employees).
3.        Reasonable expectation to achieve a 10:1 leverage of private funds.
4.        Ability to deploy funds in a timely manner.
